| | Big Sur is an Area just south of Monterey on Highway
1. I have visited there a couple of times, but I have always had this
impression of it being very touristy. However, it is a nice place to go
hiking, but you have to be really careful to look out for Poison Oak.

luckily there were foot bridges now - In the winter they are removed.
