Point Lobos south of Monterey is one of my favorite places to hike along the coast.   I have been there many times, as it is a short drive from the Bay Area, and is always nice place to go for a hike of an hour or two.

I have added some more recent pictures from a trim in June 2005 here - the wild flowers were blooming
