Yunan Nov 2004

Helen, my parents, Helen's parents and I visited Yunan in the beginning of November 2004. We visited Kunming where we met with a friend of ours. We visited the famous and very spectacular stone forest near Kunming. After being in Kunming, we went to Lijiang via Dali, to spend some time there. We spend some time in Lijiang, and took a trip to Lugu Lake in the north eastern part of Yunan. A very nice area, in the middle on some of the many minorities in China. In this area the women are allowed to marry multiple men, and in general the women rule the homes.

Helen and I visited Yunan back in 2000, and this time we went back to revisit some of the places we saw on that trip, as well as seeing some new areas. A lot has changed, and it was a lot more touristy this time, but it was still a very nice trip.
