Helen and I went with some friends to Nanxji Lang for a weekend.   It is an 8 hour drive from Shanghai, so getting there was tough, but we had fun once we got there  We were 17 people all in all going, and as you can see we saw a lot of nice nature.  I must say that the nature there turned out to be more beautiful than what we had expected.   We did several hikes - one with some nice waterfalls - 9 in all, and one along a river.  We also had a small trip on the river - it was supposedly rafting, but it was not American rafting.

Some places were tight, but not too difficult to get around

We saw a man crossing the river - to save money

The stuff he was carrying could not get wet
