During a business trip to Greece I had the opportunity to spend a weekend in Athens.  It was during the Memorial Day weekend, but we did not get the extra day off.  Carsten (a colleague) and I  spend one of the days exploring Athens - or rather going to see the sites, and the other day we took a boat to a near by island, where we rented a couple of scooter and drove around on the island.   Athens is a very busy city, but a lot of the attractions are currently less interesting as they are being renovated to be ready for the Olympics there in 2004.
