On several occasions, my job has had me travel to Taiwan.  A few times, I have had to stay over weekend, so I have had a little chance of going to see some part of the island.  Often the people I am visiting have taken me hiking, which I have enjoyed.  Below are some pictures from trip to Taiwan during the fall of 2003.  On one trip we visited the area of the big earth quake (Ku Kuan in Tsaichung) from a few years back (1999).  A tunnel collapsed beyond the area we visited, and it has not been restored yet.  On another occasion we visited a fruit farming area (Xio Man in Hsinchu).
