Hava Supai is one of the most exciting and beautiful places I have been in the US. It is an Indian reserve, thus it is not a National Park. You need to hike there - 10-12 miles down in a side canyon of the Grand Canyon. Initially, the hike resembles Grand Canyon, but when you get close to the Indian Village, a small creek starts to flow, and suddenly there is much more vegetation. The camp ground is a couple of miles beyond the Indian village. There are three beautiful waterfalls close to the camp ground, and if you hike further you will get to another waterfall. You can hike all the way to Colorado river in the middle of Grand Canyon, but even though we have tried it both times I have visited Havasu, we have never made it all the way- You have to cross the creek (which is now a river) several times, and it is so beautiful, that you want to stop all the time.
