Helen visited in February, and we drove to San Diego for the weekend. Vi visited some of our friends, but there was also some time for sight seeing. We decided to go to see Kitchen falls which was supposed to be one of the nicest waterfalls in the San Diego vicinity. Given the time of year, it should be reasonable. However, when we finally found the place where the hike started (we were looking for a shop, but it had burned down since our guide book was written), we met a person that could tell, that there was no water in the fall. Well, we decided to go for the hike anyway, and it was a quite nice hike even though we missed the actual fall. On the way back, we stopped by the border to Mexico - we wanted to go across, but I had forgotten my green card, and it is not sufficient to bring a passport, so I have to stay in America. We also topped by the old part of San Diego.

Yes, there was some water, but not enough for a fall |
