On the way down Highway 1 we stopped to see the waterfall at Limekiln state park

In Los Angeles we visited Universal Studios

We also visited Disney Land and had a chance to see Mickey

We also took a tour of Mickey's house

Mickey seemed to like Helen

After a stop in Vegas, we went on to Utah where we visited Bryce Canyon

Bryce Canyon is one of my favorite National Parks

We also visited Cedar Creek - very similar to Bryce, but smaller.  They still has snow there

After Bryce and Cedar, we went to Zion, where we hiked the narrows.  I have been there before, but the water was too high then

Hiking the narrows was an interesting experience.

After Zion we headed towards Grand Canyon.  On the way we stopped at a place called Prairie Canyon.  

We had seen references to it in a book, and decided to take a hike there

It is a very nice place - very hot, and no people.  There were only two cars at the trail head, and we met people all day

Prairie Canyon also included a place where many films are filmed.  We drove there.  Extremely varied landscapes

We finally made it to Grand Canyon.  We hiked down half way - it was too hot and we did not start early enough to make it all the way down

We camped all the way.  Here we are at the camp ground in Grand Canyon

On the way back to the Bay Area we stopped in Sequoia National Park.  Really big trees there

We hiked up to a water fall, and on the way we had to hike through these rocks
