Driving along Highway 1 from Monterey to San Louis Obispo is always a nice experience  because of the many beautiful view.  However, not only are there many nice sceneries, but there are also some impressive waterfalls.  Bridal falls is probably the most famous one with its fall directly into the ocean.  Another of my favorite is the fall at Limekiln State park.  The first time I visited the fall, you had to traverse the river several times and you had to climb on fallen trees etc. to get to the fall.  Now they have installed bridges which make the trip to the fall almost too easy, but it is still a beautiful fall with a short 1 mile hike from the parking lot.  Another nice fall is the Salmon Creek fall just a little south of Limekiln State park.  This fall you can see form the road, but you will often miss it as it is in a sharp turn.
