Feather falls is a impressive waterfall close o Oroville north of Sacramento.   The fall is about half way on a nice 9 mile loop hike.  I visited the fall in Late July, and there is still plenty of water, but I would expect the fall to be even more impressive earlier in the season. There are other supposedly nice water falls close to Feather falls, and I had planned to visit Seven Falls as well, but the road leading there was closed down 4 miles before the fall, so I could not make it, and then it was too late to head for Curtain Falls.

I revisited the Fall in May of 2003 with two of my friends - this time there was even more water in the fall
