Maple falls is situated just south of Santa Cruz, in the small town of Aptos. The epi-center for the 1989 earth quake is at the same location, and the forest still shows that. It is a challenging hike to get the fall, where one has to cross the small creek several times, and one has to traverse logs etc. However, the forest is beautiful, and the fall is nice, if you get there in the spring where water is still flowing.
